
Lisa DIAZ, writer and filmmaker
Lisa Diaz is a French writer and filmmaker
working in both fiction and documentary.

Her first feature film, Libre Garance!, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. It was subsequently screened at numerous festivals across Europe and internationally before its theatrical release in France.
She is currently developing several new projects: a feature film and a creation at the intersection of cinema and theatre, and a novel. She also leads filmmaking and writing workshops with a wide range of participants.
She is interested in the spaces where fiction and reality overlap, and in forms that allow cinema, writing and performance to influence one another.

Lisa Diaz is currently developing two new feature films, Toute une nuit and Le Dilettante.
Volare
Volare is a project at the intersection of cinema and live performance. Its writing moves between the stage, filming and encounters with the people and landscapes of a territory.
Writing
Lisa Diaz is also writing her first novel.
Workshops
Alongside her own films, she leads filmmaking, writing and collective creation workshops with students, young people, amateur performers and participants from a wide range of backgrounds.
She works with both fiction and documentary, using interviews, personal stories, sound recordings, acting and filming to create shared cinematic forms.
